3 tablespoons of lard
A leek and/or carrot
750 ml. of broth
A pinch of marjoram

How to prepare Pichelsteiner, German Stew
Pichelsteiner, a German stew, is a hearty and delicious dish, based on meat and vegetables. If you still don’t know this delicious stew, the time has come. Get the ingredients, which are very easy to find, and you will see how easy it is. You will like it and you will repeat for sure!
To enjoy a delicious pichelsteiner, German stew, the first thing you have to do is cut the meat into cubes.
Then, we peel and cut the onion and with the lard in a frying pan we brown both the meat and the onions, over medium heat and seasoning them with marjoram, pepper and salt.
We remove two thirds of the meat and peel the potatoes and carrots, cutting them into not too large pieces. We also clean and cut the leek.
We mix all the vegetables and add a third of them to the saucepan. Season with salt and pepper and add the remaining meat and vegetables in layers.
Drizzle with the broth, cover the saucepan and cook for two hours over low heat, without stirring. We just have to move the saucepan from time to time so that nothing sticks. Delicious!
